FABLAB or fabrication laboratory is a small-scale workshop offering digital fabrication.
It plays an important role in this class, ar351 Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing in Architecture, of my year three.
Here are some photos of the first model generated by Rhinoceros 3D and cut by laser cutting machine.

Let’s get minimal

Toronto based photographer Andrew Myers was recognized in 2010 as one of the best emerging Canadian photographers by the Magenta Foundation.
His compositions and colors are keys to his minimalist style. Photographing random 80s objects such as toys, vhs tapes, globes or old typewriters on simple, colorful backgrounds – the result is delightful! Andrew’s work is a tribute to just this- negative space and harsh shadows. So i guess that makes his work has been described as painterly, and it also crosses into pure graphic design. Shot with a Canon 7D, all his digital photographs are then retouched to arrive to these beautiful color treatments.

the rural vibe

It’s been ages since my last hello here. Riding to the second phase of design studio of my third year,
it’s a children library project at Prajeenburi that we are now working on.

A morning walk, fresh air, bold horticulture, a sound of nature’s waterfall,
definitely are what you can’t easily find in big, rush city.
And those three healthy meals a day, a good enough time of sleep,
and a feeling of pleasure once working on the project outside studio are also far from my routine life.

all the kids here love to bike.

A big thanks to all teachers giving us a chance to explore this new kind of work.
I learned a lot from taking this 4 day trip to work here.
It’s more than just a site analysis, it’s the people i meet here that make this place special;
I can say that i want to know them rather than just collecting information from them.

The Palm

By extruding the cylinder outwards, The Palm is inspired by the natural palm tree to give the fun and fresh feelings to the city.
It plays an important role as an attractive facade which slightly allows the sun shining through the building.

Round the twist

Reaching the height of around 200 meters with 59 stories,
the skyscraper’s design is based on the concept of Round the Twist
to represent the fun and futuristic idea of Bangkok city dwellers.

Bangkok Tower project from this summer class, Advanced 3D Modeling and Animation.
Program used: Modeling in Grasshopper and Rhinoceros 3D, editing in Photoshop.

The Soil Pavilion

Inspired by ant colony, this Soil Pavilion at Siam Square project demands attention to how the new building meets the pavilion’s wish to solve the environment issue.
It aims to create semi indoor/outdoor space which feels like area of filtered light and wind under its skin and fur.
The Soil Pavilion comprises of two programs,
which are Soil Exhibition and the café incorporated in the building based on the area analysis.
This final phase derives from Learning the soil phase, that is learning process and concept development.
It is to challenge to bring out the value of soil and deliver it to city dwellers.
